1. Who We Are

Stewardly is a Christian family app that helps parents raise faithful children through daily chores, heroes of the faith, and character-building rewards. The app is operated by Kinfamily App ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Accounts & How You Sign In

To use Stewardly you create an account. You can sign up with:

• Email and password — we store your email address to identify your account
• Sign in with Apple — Apple provides us a private identifier and, if you choose, your email. You may use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, in which case we only receive a relay address.

Authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider, Supabase. Your password is never stored in plain text.

3. Data We Store in the Cloud

So your family's progress is available across devices and protected if you lose your phone, the following data is stored securely on our cloud database (hosted by Supabase):

• Your account email address
• Children's first names and ages
• Chore titles, virtues, XP values, and completion status
• Reward titles and redemption status
• Hero gallery progress and XP totals
• Daily streaks and progress
• Your Parent PIN (used to protect the in-app Parent Area)
• Your subscription status (active or not)

Each account can only access its own family's data. We do not share one family's data with another. All data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored in access-controlled databases.

4. AI Encouragement & Audio Features

Stewardly uses a private backend server to power its AI features. When these features are used, the following data is sent to our server over an encrypted connection:

Encouragement messages: When a child completes a chore, we send the child's first name, age range (e.g., "7–9"), chore title, virtue category, and hero name to generate a personalized Bible-based message. This data is not retained on our server after the response is returned.

Text-to-speech audio: When the "Listen" button is tapped, we send the text to be spoken to generate audio. This text may be temporarily cached on our server for performance (up to 24 hours) and then discarded.

Our server sends these requests to OpenAI's API to generate responses. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to this processing: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy. We do not send your email address or any payment information to OpenAI.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Stewardly offers an optional premium subscription (monthly or yearly) with a free trial. Payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your credit card number or billing details.

We use RevenueCat to manage and verify subscription status. RevenueCat receives a non-personal app user identifier and your purchase/transaction information from Apple to tell our app whether your subscription is active. See revenuecat.com/privacy and apple.com/legal/privacy.

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Stewardly is designed for use by parents with their children. The app is operated under parental supervision — a parent creates the account, sets up all profiles, and controls all data through the PIN-protected Parent Area.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children
• Children's first names and ages are entered by the parent who owns the account
• We do not use children's data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the app's features
• There are no social features, chat functions, or ways for children to share data with others
• Purchases are made only by the account-holding parent, gated behind the Parent Area

7. No Advertising or Cross-App Tracking

Stewardly contains no advertisements, no third-party advertising SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no cross-app behavioral profiling. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Service Providers We Use

• Supabase — secure cloud database, authentication, and hosting
• OpenAI — generates AI encouragement text and audio
• Apple — Sign in with Apple, and all subscription payment processing
• RevenueCat — verifies and manages subscription status

Each provider only receives the limited data necessary to perform its function, as described above.

9. Your Rights & Account Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• Edit / Delete data: You can remove a child's profile in the Parent Area at any time, which permanently deletes that child's chores, rewards, and progress.
• Delete your account: To permanently delete your entire account and all associated data, use the in-app option in the Parent Area or email us at stewardlyapp@gmail.com. We will process account deletions within 30 days.
• California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information.

10. Data Security

All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Your data is stored in access-controlled databases protected by row-level security so each account can only reach its own data. The Parent PIN protects the Parent Area within the app.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify users through an in-app notice.
